I watched Tropfest live this year for the first time. It was so enjoyable, I love seeing how different the entries are. It's also so nice being part of a crowd at such events, people laughing together and being friendly.
The second prize winner, 'My Neighbourhood Has Been Overrun By Baboons', was probably my least favourite film of the night. That or the indicatively titled 'Testicle' - low-brow humour really is not my thing. My personal faves were 'Falling Backwards' (not an original concept, it's been done before, but it was executed so well and I really liked it), 'Fishlips' (quirky and funny) and 'No Dice Hollywood' (I was hoping this entry would win).
